Reading Group

The Critical Theory Research Workshop is an interdisciplinary forum beyond the classroom, founded and run by undergraduates, allowing students, graduate and undergraduate, to share and develop their interests in critical theory. It is funded by the Kaplan Institute, and co-sponsored by the department of French, German, and by Comparative Literary Studies. Graduate students are invited by undergraduates to lead bi-weekly discussions of individual theorists, often with a proposed reading. Events have also included visiting speakers. Previously discussed authors have included Butler, Deleuze, Fraser, Bataille, Derrida, Benjamin, Rorty, Arendt, Adorno, Horkheimer, Badiou, Rancière, and many more. If you are interested in participating, please contact Tomer Cherki,
